dB Technologies Opera 15 Active PA Speaker

The dB Technologies Opera 15 is a versatile two-way active PA speaker designed for live music, DJs, mobile performers, presentations and venue sound systems.

Its 15-inch woofer and 1-inch compression driver deliver powerful full-range sound, supported by 600W RMS Class D amplification and a maximum output of 130dB SPL. Advanced DSP, Linear Phase FIR filters and eight selectable presets help maintain clear, consistent performance across different applications.

Powerful Full-Range Performance

The Opera 15 combines a 15-inch low-frequency driver with a 1-inch exit compression driver. Its frequency response extends from 50Hz to 20kHz at -10dB, providing strong bass response alongside detailed vocals and high frequencies.

The efficient Class D amplifier produces 600W RMS and 1200W peak power, making the speaker suitable for use as a standalone full-range system or with an active subwoofer.

Asymmetrical Sound Coverage

A specially designed asymmetrical horn provides controlled coverage across the audience area. Its narrower upper dispersion projects sound further into the room, while the wider lower pattern covers listeners positioned closer to the speaker.

This design helps achieve more even sound distribution in performance spaces, function rooms and venues.

DSP Presets and FIR Processing

The integrated 56-bit DSP includes Linear Phase FIR filters for improved clarity, phase response and consistency. Eight presets can be selected using the rear-panel rotary encoder, allowing the speaker to be quickly configured for different applications.

Peak, RMS and thermal limiters provide additional protection for the amplifier and speaker components during demanding use.

Flexible Inputs and Outputs

The Opera 15 has two combination XLR and 6.35mm inputs. One accepts microphone or line-level signals, while the second supports microphone or instrument sources.

A selectable XLR output can provide either a Channel 1 link or the combined mix signal, making it easy to connect another powered speaker or compatible audio equipment.

Main Speaker or Stage Monitor

The polypropylene enclosure features an internal reinforcing frame and can be used vertically as a main PA speaker or placed at a 45-degree angle for stage-monitor applications.

A standard 36mm pole socket, M10 rigging points and integrated carrying handles provide flexible installation and transportation options.
