Festoon Harnesses and Decorative String Lights

Our festoon harnesses provide lamp holders along a cable, allowing you to select compatible bulbs for the appearance you want. The range includes different lengths and lamp spacings for layouts ranging from closely spaced displays to longer runs across larger spaces.

Choosing Bulbs, Colour and Spacing

Warm white and decorative filament-style LED bulbs suit relaxed hospitality settings and wedding venues. Coloured lamps offer an alternative for themed events and festive displays, while globe and other decorative shapes change the appearance of the installation even before the lights are switched on.

Match the lamp cap to the harness: bayonet cap and Edison screw fittings are not interchangeable. Check the permitted lamp wattage and voltage, and use dimmable bulbs with compatible control equipment where adjustable brightness is required.

Planning an Outdoor Festoon Installation

Measure the intended route, allowing for the distance to the first lamp holder and the shape of each suspended run. Lamp spacing affects both the number of bulbs required and the overall look, so compare it alongside the total harness length.

For outdoor use, check the ratings and installation requirements of the complete system, including lamps, holders, connections and power supplies. Use compatible extension accessories and follow the manufacturer’s maximum load and connection limits when expanding a setup.

Combine festoon lighting with suitably rated wireless uplighters to add colour to surrounding walls and features while keeping the festoon display as the decorative focus.
