LED Effects, Scanners and Mirror Balls

Different effects bring different looks to a lightshow. Derby and moonflower effects project patterns and coloured beams, while scanners and barrel effects add movement across the room. Multi-effect fixtures combine several lighting styles in one housing, helping create variety with fewer separate units.

For a classic disco appearance, mirror balls create moving reflections when illuminated by a suitable spotlight and paired with a correctly rated motor. They can also complement a more contemporary lighting setup at weddings and themed events.

Lighting Bars and Portable DJ Setups

Lighting bar systems bring several fixtures together on a single bar, making them worth considering when transport space and setup time matter. Check what each package includes, as stands, bags and control accessories vary between models.

Think about the overall effect rather than simply adding more lights. A colour wash can provide a background for moving patterns, while a pair of matching effects can create a balanced arrangement around your DJ booth. Automatic, Sound-Activated and DMX Control

Many DJ effects offer automatic programmes and sound-activated modes for operation without a separate controller. Selected fixtures also support master/slave operation, allowing compatible lights to run coordinated shows.

For programmed changes and more detailed control, choose DMX-compatible fixtures and suitable lighting control equipment. Check each light’s operating modes and channel requirements before combining it with your controller.
