Snow Machines for Christmas Events and Winter Attractions

Bring a winter scene to life with artificial snowfall for festive celebrations, theatre productions and themed events. Snow effects can add atmosphere to a Christmas grotto, provide a finishing touch to a stage scene or create a memorable moment during a party.

These machines use specialist snow fluid to produce foam particles that resemble falling snow. Prebeat’s range includes compact machines for smaller effects and professional models for more demanding event setups.

Choosing a Snow Machine for Your Venue

Start with the area you want to cover and the effect you want to achieve. A brief burst above a display has different requirements from sustained snowfall across a performance space.

Compare output, throw distance, tank capacity and fluid consumption alongside the machine’s size and weight. Wattage alone does not tell you how an effect will look in your venue. Positioning, mounting height and air movement also influence where the snow falls.

For theatre and quieter settings, consider operating noise when planning the effect around dialogue or music.

Snow Machines with Remote Control and DMX

Control options vary between models, from straightforward remote operation to DMX integration for programmed shows. A remote can make it easier to trigger snowfall at a chosen moment, while DMX allows a compatible machine to become part of a wider lighting and effects sequence.

Selected machines offer adjustable output, and the range also includes models with built-in LEDs to add colour to the effect. Check each product’s control options and included accessories before choosing. For coordinated shows, explore our lighting control range.

Snow Fluid and Event Preparation

Use snow fluid recommended for your chosen machine and check whether it is included or sold separately. Allow enough fluid for rehearsals, testing and the event itself, particularly when planning repeated or extended effects.

Before the event, test the machine in position to assess coverage and any residue on surrounding surfaces. Confirm the model’s permitted operating conditions when planning outdoor use; suitability for an outdoor effect does not automatically mean the machine is weatherproof.

Complete your winter scene with stage lighting to illuminate the snowfall and LED par cans for colour across scenery and backdrops.
