Connect instruments and audio sources to your mixing desk with our range of active and passive DI boxes. Explore single and two-channel options from Chord and Pulse for live performances, rehearsals and installed PA systems.

A DI box, or direct injection box, converts an unbalanced instrument or audio signal into a balanced output suitable for a mixing desk. This helps connect equipment such as guitars, bass guitars, keyboards and playback devices to a PA system, particularly when longer cable runs are needed.
Prebeat’s selection includes active and passive DI boxes, with options for individual instruments and two-channel applications.
Passive DI boxes operate without an external power supply, making them a convenient addition to a stage or equipment bag. Active DI boxes use powered circuitry and require a suitable power source, such as phantom power or a battery, depending on the model.
Choose according to your source equipment, its output level and the DI box’s input specifications. For stereo keyboards or playback equipment, a two-channel DI box allows you to keep the left and right signals separate.
Selected models include switchable attenuation pads to reduce higher input levels and help prevent overloading. Ground lift controls can help tackle hum caused by ground loops, while certain models also offer filtering options.
A through connection lets you send the input signal onward to an instrument amplifier while the balanced output feeds your PA mixer. Check each model’s connections and controls to match your setup.
Complete your connections with suitable signal cables and balanced XLR microphone cables. If you need help choosing a DI box, contact Prebeat with details of your instrument or playback device and mixing desk.
