Always follow the guidance supplied with the chosen amplifier because the recommended headroom may vary between manufacturers.
Many 100V speakers have several transformer taps. A ceiling speaker might offer 1.5W, 3W and 6W settings, while a larger wall or horn speaker may offer considerably higher settings.
The tap determines how much amplifier power the speaker can draw and affects its maximum output level.
