The Equinox Merlin 80W is a compact multi gobo barrel effect light designed to bring sharp moving projections, colour and energy to dancefloors, stages and event spaces. Powered by an 80W cool white LED and fitted with a mirrored barrel, it projects a spread of colourful gobo patterns across walls, ceilings and dancefloors, making it ideal for mobile DJs, weddings, parties, bars, nightclubs and live events.

Unlike a basic party light, the Merlin uses static gobos and colours with moving barrel projection to create a more structured visual effect. The 8 static gobos and colours plus open position give you a choice of looks, while the 4 degree beam angle per beam and 27 degree gobo flower coverage help produce crisp, defined patterns across the room. A manual focus adjustment on the rear of the fixture allows the projection to be sharpened to suit the throw distance and venue layout.

Control is flexible for both simple and programmed lighting setups. The Merlin can be used in automatic mode for quick plug and play operation, sound active mode for music triggered effects, or primary and secondary mode when linking multiple fixtures together. For more detailed control, DMX operation is available with 2, 6 or 9 channel modes, allowing the fixture to be integrated into a wider lighting rig with moving heads, pars, lasers and other DJ effects.

Movement is designed to give wide room coverage from a compact unit, with 180 degrees of pan and 360 degrees of tilt. The fixture also includes 0 to 100 percent dimming and variable strobe, giving extra control over intensity and show moments. The 4 button menu with OLED display makes setup straightforward, even in dark venues or mobile DJ environments where quick adjustments are important.
