The Chord Native Series Dahoma is a versatile electro-acoustic guitar designed for playing at home, recording and live performance. Its Grand Auditorium body combines a comfortable shape with a Venetian cutaway, providing easier access to the upper frets.

The body is crafted from Dahoma wood and finished with a clear lacquer that highlights its distinctive natural grain and figuring. As the wood pattern varies naturally, every guitar has its own individual appearance.

Active Preamp with Three-Band EQ

An onboard active preamp allows the guitar to be connected to a compatible acoustic amplifier, PA system or recording equipment.

The three-band EQ provides useful control over the amplified sound, while a phase switch can help manage feedback and unwanted low-frequency build-up in certain performance environments.

An integrated tuner makes it easy to check the guitar’s tuning without needing a separate pedal or clip-on tuner. The preamp and tuner are powered by a standard 9V PP3 battery.

Grand Auditorium Cutaway Body

The Grand Auditorium design makes the Native Series Dahoma suitable for a variety of playing styles. Its Venetian cutaway provides improved access to the higher frets for lead playing, melodic parts and more advanced chord positions.

An Okoume neck, rosewood fingerboard and 648mm scale length provide a familiar playing feel. The guitar is completed with chrome die-cast machine heads arranged in a traditional three-a-side configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can the Native Series Dahoma be played without an amplifier?

A: Yes. It can be played as a conventional acoustic guitar without amplification or connected to compatible audio equipment when more volume is required.

Q: Does the guitar have a built-in tuner?

A: Yes. The onboard preamp includes an integrated tuner, allowing the guitar’s tuning to be checked directly from the instrument.

Q: What battery does the preamp require?

A: The active preamp and tuner are powered by a standard 9V PP3 battery.

Q: What does the phase switch do?

A: The phase switch changes the polarity of the amplified signal and may help reduce feedback or excessive low-frequency resonance in some performance environments.

Q: Will every Dahoma guitar have exactly the same wood pattern?

A: No. Dahoma has natural grain and figuring, so the precise pattern and appearance will vary slightly between individual guitars.
