Protekt CPFMIXL Universal Large Pick Foam Mixing Desk Case

The Protekt CPFMIXL is a universal large mixing desk flight case designed to protect compatible live mixing consoles during transportation and storage.

Its pick-and-pluck foam interior can be configured around the shape of the mixer, creating a fitted compartment while retaining a protective foam surround. An adjustable lid retention system uses repositionable foam blocks to support mixing desks with different heights and profiles.

The rigid 9mm laminated plywood construction makes the CPFMIXL suitable for live sound engineers, bands, DJs, venues, rehearsal studios and event production companies regularly transporting larger mixing consoles.

Customisable Pick-and-Pluck Foam

The main equipment compartment contains pre-scored pick-and-pluck foam that can be removed by hand to match the size and shape of the mixing desk.

This universal design allows the case to accommodate different mixer models without requiring specialist foam-cutting equipment. The complete layout should be planned before removing any foam so that a suitable protective border remains around the console.

Adjustable Lid Retention System

Six slant-cut foam retention blocks are supplied as three pairs of different heights. The appropriate pair can be selected to suit the profile of the mixer.

Each block has a Velcro backing and can be positioned on the carpet-lined interior of the lid. When correctly positioned, the blocks apply gentle pressure to help hold the console securely and reduce movement inside the case.

The blocks must be positioned away from faders, knobs, displays and other vulnerable controls.

Reinforced Flight Case Construction

The case is manufactured from 9mm laminated plywood with strong aluminium profiles and reinforced metal corners.

Heavy-duty flight-case latches keep the case closed, while a folding carry handle provides a practical grip during transportation. Protective rubber feet improve stability and help separate the case from the surface underneath.

A black honeycomb exterior finish with aluminium trim gives the case a professional appearance suitable for touring, venue and production use.
