The JTS FGM-62 Carbon is a floor stand microphone system designed for discreet, accurate sound pickup in choirs, presentations, stage productions, houses of worship, schools and performance spaces. It is ideal when a standard lectern microphone, close mic or handheld microphone is not practical, giving engineers a flexible way to capture speech, singing, instruments or ambient stage sound from a low profile floor position.

A key feature of the FGM-62 Carbon is its 1.2m carbon boom, which allows the microphone position to be extended neatly towards the source without placing a bulky stand in the way. The upright stand adjusts up to 62cm, and the boom is mounted through a shock mount so it can be positioned accurately while helping reduce unwanted handling and floor vibration.

The system is supplied with three interchangeable microphone capsules, giving cardioid, supercardioid and omnidirectional pickup options. This makes the FGM-62 suitable for a wide range of sound reinforcement tasks, from focused speech pickup and choir reinforcement to wider ambient capture for orchestras, stage productions and ensemble work.

For theatre and school productions, the FGM-62 can be placed front of stage to help pick up performers where individual close microphones are not possible. In choirs and worship settings, it provides a cleaner visual setup than multiple visible mic stands while still offering useful pickup coverage. It is also suitable for presentations where a lectern is not available or where a traditional gooseneck microphone cannot be fitted.

The microphone uses a back electret condenser design with a 50Hz to 18kHz frequency response and a maximum SPL of 125dB. It connects via a 3-pin male XLR and requires 9 to 52V DC phantom power, with standard operation at 48V. An 8m cable is included for convenient connection to a mixer, stage box or installation input.

For users who need a cable-free setup, the FGM-62 Carbon can also be used wirelessly with the optional FGM-GM-KIT and a compatible JTS bodypack wireless system. This makes it a versatile choice for venues, theatres, schools, rental companies and houses of worship needing a floor stand microphone that can adapt to different production requirements.

Best for choirs, school productions, theatres, orchestras, presentations, houses of worship, rental stock, stage ambience and front of stage pickup where discreet floor mounted microphone placement is required.
