The JTS E-6TH is a single-channel UHF handheld wireless microphone system designed for singers, presenters, schools, conferences, houses of worship, mobile entertainers and smaller venues. It combines the compact E-6 diversity receiver with an E-6TH handheld transmitter, delivering clear and articulate wireless vocal reproduction with straightforward controls.

Operating on the UK licence-free Channel 70 frequency range of 863–865MHz, the system provides 16 preset selectable frequencies. Setting up the microphone is simply a matter of selecting the same channel on the receiver and transmitter, with alternative frequencies available if interference is encountered at a particular venue.

Stable Diversity Wireless Reception

The E-6 receiver uses diversity technology with two independent RF receivers and tuned antennas to help maintain a stable wireless connection. Pilot tone and noise mute squelch further reduce unwanted noise and interference when a usable transmitter signal is not present.

Its two fixed antennas fold into the front of the half-rack receiver for protection during transport. Front-panel controls provide quick access to channel selection, output volume and power, while RF and AF indicators display the wireless and audio signal status.

Clear Handheld Sound for Vocals and Speech

The E-6TH handheld transmitter features a clear microphone capsule suitable for both singing and spoken-word applications. Its extended dynamic range and smooth 50Hz–16kHz frequency response help provide natural, intelligible vocal reproduction.

An internal antenna keeps the microphone comfortable and uncomplicated to use. Power and channel controls are located on the transmitter, with an LED providing power and low-battery indication.

Balanced XLR and unbalanced 6.3mm jack outputs allow the receiver to connect with PA mixers, powered speakers, amplifiers and other professional audio equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does the JTS E-6TH require a wireless microphone licence?

A: No. This UK version operates between 863MHz and 865MHz on Channel 70, which is available for licence-free wireless microphone use in the UK.

Q: Does the system support more than one microphone?

A: The E-6 is a single-channel system and operates with one transmitter at a time. The 16 selectable frequencies allow the system to move to a clearer frequency and does not mean that one receiver can accept 16 microphones.

Q: Can several JTS E-6 systems be used together?

A: Multiple systems can be used in the same location by assigning each receiver and transmitter pair a different compatible frequency. The number that can operate together will depend on local RF conditions and appropriate frequency coordination, but in this frequency range is usually 3 systems and occasionally 4 systems.

Q: What is the operating range?

A: The system can provide an operating distance of 80 metres or more under suitable open, line-of-sight conditions. Walls, metalwork and other wireless equipment can reduce the practical range.

Q: Is the E-6TH suitable for singing as well as speech?

A: Yes. Its clear handheld capsule and 50Hz–16kHz frequency response make it suitable for singers, presenters, public speaking, conferences and general live vocal use.

Q: How does the receiver connect to a sound system?

A: The receiver has a balanced three-pin XLR output and an unbalanced 6.3mm jack output, providing connection options for mixers, PA systems, amplifiers and compatible powered speakers.
