JTS R-4 12-Way Bodypack All Racked Up System Bundle
The JTS R-4 12-Way Bodypack All Racked Up System Bundle combines three professional four-channel receivers with twelve rugged bodypack transmitters and the rack hardware needed to create an organised, transportable wireless system.
Developed for theatres, schools, colleges, houses of worship, conference venues and production companies, the bundle provides twelve separate receiver channels within a compact rack-based setup. It is particularly suitable for applications requiring discreet headset, lavalier or instrument microphones across multiple performers.
Please note that headset, lavalier and instrument microphones are not included and must be purchased separately.
Three Quad-Channel JTS R-4 Receivers
Three JTS R-4 receivers provide a total of twelve wireless receiver channels. Each receiver accommodates four transmitters in a compact 1U 19-inch rackmount chassis, keeping the complete receiver system to just 3U of rack space.
The R-4 operates across 606.5-638MHz and features PLL-synthesised tuning, diversity reception and automatic frequency scanning. Preset and user-programmable frequency groups make it easier to build a coordinated system around the available spectrum at the venue.
JTS REMOSET technology allows settings to be transferred from each receiver to its associated transmitters. All four transmitters connected to an R-4 can receive their corresponding settings from a single synchronisation command, simplifying setup before performances and events.
Each wireless channel has an independent balanced XLR output for connection to a mixing console. Every receiver also provides balanced XLR and unbalanced 6.35mm mixed outputs when a combined feed is required.
Twelve Rugged R-4TBM Bodypack Transmitters
The bundle includes twelve compact JTS R-4TBM bodypack transmitters. Their durable metal housings make them suitable for demanding professional environments where equipment is used regularly by different performers.
Each transmitter has a 4-pin mini XLR input for compatible JTS headset microphones, lavalier microphones and instrument cables. An LCD screen displays important operating information, including frequency, channel, battery condition and gain settings.
Selectable RF output power and adjustable input sensitivity allow the transmitters to be configured for different performers and working environments. Power is supplied by two AA batteries per transmitter.
Protective 6U Rack Case and Lockable Storage
The StageCore FC151 Cobra Flight Case provides 6U of standard 19-inch rack capacity for the receivers and drawer. Removable front and rear lids allow access to equipment connections, while the laminated plywood construction and reinforced hardware provide protection during transport and storage.
A 2U lockable steel rack drawer is included for storing bodypacks, compatible microphones, cables, batteries and other accessories. Its shallow 255mm depth is suitable for installation in the FC151 case.
The JTS RTF-UF-20 antenna mounting kit relocates the antenna connections to the front of the rack. This makes connecting and positioning the antennas easier once the receivers are installed inside the flight case.
The system components are supplied in their original packaging and require user assembly.
Professional Outputs and Rack Integration
The R-4 receivers provide an individual balanced XLR output for every wireless channel, allowing all twelve performers to be controlled independently from a mixing console. Mixed outputs are also available on each four-channel receiver for installations where a combined audio feed is preferred.
Antenna and AC power cascade connections help reduce cabling when several R-4 receivers are installed together. The cascade facility simplifies antenna distribution between the three receivers but does not determine how many wireless channels can operate simultaneously. Frequency coordination is still essential.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can all twelve bodypack transmitters be used simultaneously?
A: The hardware provides twelve separate receiver channels. However, reliable simultaneous operation depends on frequency coordination, the local RF environment and the frequencies covered by your licence. Ofcom advises that users can typically achieve ten radio microphones within shared Channel 38, although this varies case by case. Operating all twelve may require additional coordinated PMSE frequencies.
Q: Does this bundle include headset or lavalier microphones?
A: No. The bundle includes twelve R-4TBM bodypack transmitters, but the microphones are sold separately. Each transmitter requires a compatible microphone or instrument cable with a JTS 4-pin mini XLR connector.
Q: Does the system require a UK wireless microphone licence?
A: Yes. The shared Channel 38 licence covers 606.5-613.5MHz. Frequencies elsewhere within the system’s 606.5-638MHz tuning range require the appropriate coordinated Ofcom PMSE frequency assignment. Always confirm the licensing requirements before operating the system.
Q: Does the bundle arrive assembled in the flight case?
A: No. The receivers, transmitters, flight case, rack drawer and antenna mounting kit arrive in their original packaging and are ready for user assembly.
Q: Can every microphone be connected separately to a mixing desk?
A: Yes. Each of the twelve receiver channels has its own balanced XLR output, allowing every performer to be connected to and controlled from a separate mixer input.
Q: What does the rear-to-front antenna kit do?
A: The antenna kit relocates the receiver antenna connections to the front of the rack. This makes it easier to connect, position and remove the antennas without accessing the rear of the flight case.
Q: Can the R-4 receivers share antenna signals?
A: Yes. The R-4 provides antenna cascade connections that allow the antenna signals to be passed between the receivers. This reduces the number of separate antennas required, but it does not guarantee a particular number of simultaneous wireless channels.
Q: What batteries do the R-4TBM transmitters use?
A: Each transmitter uses two AA batteries. The R-4TBM can also be used with compatible JTS charging stations when suitable rechargeable NiMH batteries are fitted.
